Annegret Siedel, Baroque violin, viola d'amore, viola and violino piccolo

studied in her native Berlin and successively held the position of first violinist in the orchestra of the Komische Oper in Berlin and in the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra. She studied further with Michael Vogler in Berlin and with Ernst Kovacic in Vienna, as well as with Hiro Kurosaki (Baroque violin) and Nikolaus Harnoncourt (historical performance practice) at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Since 1995 Annegret Siedel has performed as a freelance soloist, in chambermusic groups and as leader of orchestras that perform Baroque, Classical and Romantic music on historical instruments. She expands her versatile violin repertoire with concertos for the viola d'amore, parts for the viola and violino piccolo.

She teaches private, at courses, in association with projects at music colleges and at the Hamburg conservatoire.

She is increasingly turning her attention to chamber music programmes both with the Bell’arte Salzburg ensemble and in formations comprising violin with fortepiano, organ, harpsichord, lute and harp.
